Here are few tips how to remove tartar at home 

You will need:

  • Baking soda
  • Toothbrush
  • Hydrogen peroxide
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Cup
  • Dental pick
  • Antiseptic mouth wash

Baking soda removes plaque very efficiently.

Remove tartar

Step 1:

One tablespoon of baking soda mix it with ½ teaspoon of salt in a cup. Moisten the toothbrush with warm water and then dip it into the mixture. Scrub your teeth with it and then spit. Continue the same procedure for five minutes.

Step 2:

In a cup mix the hydrogen perioxide with ½ of warm water. Rinse your mouth for one minute and then spit. At the end rinse your mouth with ½ cup of cool water.

Step 3:

Take a dental pick to rub the yellow tartar from teeth carefully, because if you scrape the gums, it might irritate and damage them.

Step 4:

Use an antiseptic mouth wash to rinse your mouth. Repeat the procedure every second day.

Strawberries and Tomatoes

Tomatoes and strawberries are rich in vitamin C which is excellent for maintaining good oral hygiene. You can rub your teeth directly with these fruits for five minutes and thus the tartar build-up will soften.

After that, rinse your mouth with baking soda and warm water. All vitamins containing vitamin C such as like bell peppers, berries, lemons, lime, oranges and papaya you can use it for making the same procedure.


Swiss or Cheddar cheese are strongly recommended because they neutralize the acids that cause plaque creation.

Additionally, you can also add other things to keep your oral health routine:

Use soft brush and while brushing your teeth, make some vertical movements. Be careful on the space between gums and teeth.

Eating spicy food helps to stimulate salivary glands. Thus saliva cleans mouth naturally.

Rub your teeth with orange because it helps fight bacteria. Do this before going to bed. Rinse your mouth afterwards.
