Cheap Tea Contains Fluoride and Pesticides

Pesticides remains are found in the non-organic teas since they are not washed before drying. Some of the pesticides found in the teas are considered as carcinogens, in amounts that exceed the US and EU limits!

According to a new study published in the journal Food Research International, the fluoride found in the cheaper blends increases the risk of various diseases like as bone tooth, kidney problems and even cancer.

Apparently, some brands of cheap tea contain approximately 7 parts per million (ppm) of fluoride, and this fact is quite frightening since the allowed amount is 4 ppm, and that fluoride enters your bones and accumulates in your body. It can reside there for years.

Teas with cheaper quality are made from old leaves, which are known to contain more fluoride than young tea leaves.

When it comes to decaffeinated tea and caffeinated tea, experiemtns showed that decaffeinated teas contain more fluoride than caffeinated tea.

But, this doesn’t necessarily means that you should stop drinking tea all together.

While bagged teas seems to be more convenient and ready to make at a moments notice, you should know that these teas are made from old leaves that contain more fluoride, which makes them low quality leaves.

Therefore,  you should buy organic tea because the methods they include more sophisticated techniques such purifying waterfor the soil, which makes the tea more natural.
